Tutorials #1 - How to make a Geometric Craft in 3ds Max

Hello u guys. For upcoming entry, i would like to shared a few tutorials in screen capture. So, today, what i'm gonna share is to make a geometric craft or Kerawang in the easiest way.

First,
1) Crop the image of geometric you choose, and it must be a symmetry images.

2)Open 3ds Max, and make an object plane with dimension of 600x600 on top (x&y)

3) Fit the mapping the geometric images by using vray or other diffuse bitmaps.

4) Determine the quarter section of geometric, and trace the line on it.

5) Adjust the working pivot on x&y coordinate by copy the end of vertices coordinate.

6)Go to line, expand the "Rendering". Pick "Enable In Renderer" and "Enable In Viewport". Pick "Rectangular" and give the thickness of the craft.

7)Click the mirror button to symmetry every quarter of the geometric. You can also used symmetry tools for alternate way. This thing used for any repeatable form in geometric.

8)If u don't have to change any basic form on it, press right-click, and select "convert to Editable Mesh"

9)Editable Mesh used to combine all the form together in single element. Click "Attach" and select every form of this geometry.

10)Lastly place your geometric form in your 3ds max scenes. That's all. Thank You.

For the next tutorials, i would like to shared how to render your scene in Wiremesh by using VrayToons.
